I was not addressing Mezz at all or any one China made brand cue in particular. I was stating that cue repairmen have been showing pictures of various China made stuff that is very poorly made. Yes of late people are often wanting butts made to match their collection of Carbon Fiber shafts.

Follow some of the cue repair threads and see how some China production are made and see if you still feel the same way.

You need to check your State laws. I was told that in many States it is legal to use it for cues staying in the cuemaker's State. Ordering one from out of State violates the Interstate Ivory trade band. I could be wrong on any of this as laws often contradict themselves. So I am just sharing...

Doug Leech has been at it a long time. He is from Wheeling, West Virginia.

I think he wanted that 17" Pro Taper one to be the whippy shaft. It should be whippy. Back his pro taper off to about 10 inches to be a little stiffer. But like you said earlier the shaft will most likely warp.

I have owned all those designs at one time or another. I have a JR3 for sale now.
