bob dzuricky has used curly katalox on cues before. he has a cue made of it on his youtube channel (dzcues) its the video where he is cutting trim rings.

ive been told you need 5' clearance around the entire table to avoid hitting a wall etc. so i setup a room to be 15x20 for just a little extra room. my spectator chair is in the corner of this room and has never gotten in the way.
i had Tophatcues make me an 11" extension that would go at the joint. making the shaft and extension 40" for a legal sized cue to jump :D:D but also long enough to reach across a full size table without a bridge :)
