    Advice On This Shot

I personally shoot it with inside. It's just easier for me to calibrate my stroke that way. I can make it with outside but with my cue it requires more guess work and aiming into space, etc. Whatever works for you.

Highest number of rack run in a row in 9 ball.

There was a video of Chang running 10 in practice. Obv no pressure there but fun to watch. Lots of firepower. :

    Unknown "monster" players

The guys I know from MI who were there all say the same thing- If you heard about something happening there, it was probably true.

    More Tip Position Discussion

Well then why don't you make clear what the point of the thread is? In a couple concise sentences. It isn't abundantly clear given your less than direct writing style.

Sold Rick Howard 6 Pointer w/ 4 Shafts

This is an earlier Rick Howard with signature on the forearm, circa 1992. Beautiful ebony and maple with 6 sharp points and blue wooden inlays. He really did an outstanding job on the wrap- it's difficult to even feel the seam. The cue is in excellent shape, especially for its age with just a...

Pros today vs the pros yesterday

Yes. What's your point? He's one player, and the fact that he made that run doesn't convince me he would necessarily do any better than 14.1 champions from previous eras over time. If you think the abillity to run a lot of balls at one time translates into success in a 14.1 tournament format...

Pros today vs the pros yesterday

Another exception would be the game of 14.1, where I think the stronger players of that game unquestionably were of previous eras. Of course it might be because that was the game of choice back then, but there are very few exceptions if any to that rule. Thorsten might be the only player I think...

Earl is coming to southern calif in august. How much will tickets be??

same... I walked in there one random night and about 10+ champions were hanging out, some in action, others just chatting. Chang started practicing on the table next to me 😳

    Old match

Cool post. Pockets was my first "home room" as well, up until the time it closed recently, though by that time I'd relocated to the Detroit area. And I remember Nathan as well, who was around a bit towards the end- and of course played pretty strong but nothing like he did back in the 90s. I...

Is Schmidt's and charlie 626 Legit

I didn't speak on his character at all. And I don't know if the analogy carries weight here since there's always a way to watch that game somewhere if you wanted. Or the highlights. If I tell you I ate 200 hotdogs in a sitting without providing evidence you would have reason to doubt. Would...

Is Schmidt's and charlie 626 Legit

Yeah I personally think it's a hoax but, of course it's all speculation. for the record, John saw me mention this somewhere else and actually blocked me personally after leaving a silly PM complaining about being a troll. Not the case- I just never saw any proof so why on earth would any...

Favorite player and least favorite player?

Favorites are Sigel, Crane, Ouschan (present day). I think D. Hatch has a poor public persona and is often rude but I like his game anyway.
