Since we are on the topic, does anybody know of any other extensions that use the same pin as the cuefits? I have one of their bumpers only. I believe it's a 5/16x14 quick release. The cuefits extensions look okay but charge over $40 shipping which I think is absurd.

That picture you posted is of the cuefits system. They also sell different extensions that work with that bumper. You can just buy the bumper itself with an extension. You don't need to make your own.

Some advise to place these on top of a carpenters level and use it that way. I've done this with a lot of success. Placing evenly spaced razor blades underneath the carpenter level allows you to get the reading for varying widths.
