    Ultimate Pool Louisiana Open

They are the official rules of the WEPF, which in some ways is a competing body to the WPA. This is the WEPF trying to expand out of England, Ireland, France, etc. I don't think they're trying to "Americanise English pool". I think they're trying to form an international rule set that people...

    Ultimate Pool Louisiana Open

People on here seem to be under the impression that bar box 8-ball is easier than 9-ft 8-ball, when it's widely regarded that bar box 8-ball is harder. The layouts have a lot more clusters and require greater precision and creative problem solving. This is the real 8-ball imho.

Should Mosconi Cup add an Asian Team?

Yeah when the Mosconi Cup first started, 9-ball wasn't very popular in Europe. Now 10 of the top 15 players are from Europe, 3 from USA (with Gorst), and 2 from Asia. USA is just the same strength as an individual country in Europe now. Hell, Poland alone could probably field a team capable of...

    Overcutting Balls And Then Not

This is a very old forum thread. But I wanted to say that some of Matt's advice really helped my game. I've watched a lot of coaches on Youtube, across snooker, 9-ball and English pool including Barry Stark, Nic Barrow, Dr Dave and Tor Lowry. I think that Matt's articles on the fundamentals...

How do these guys get their shoulder behind their head?

One more follow up from me. OK I realize now that I don't have to do that big elaborate setup with the cue against my chest. The important thing is just getting my chin really close to my left shoulder (even slightly over the top of my shoulder). This naturally pulls my other elbow behind my...

How do these guys get their shoulder behind their head?

Yes spot on, I wasn't sticking my left arm out to the left enough.

How do these guys get their shoulder behind their head?

I'm no expert, but I had a lot of trouble with this and found a solution that works for me. The problem is basically due to where the cue is resting against your body. The temptation is to have the cue resting along the side of the chest, however this results in chicken winging the shoulder. The...

How do these guys get their shoulder behind their head?

From what I can see, all pro snooker players keep the cue very close to their body (actually touching in most cases). I would also say that most players have their foot position mostly correct already as there are 101 videos on this and it's not rocket science to put your foot on the line of the...
