What is the best ferrule material

It is, and yes they can. I was given one by a predator player, who was forbidden to use it (even with logos covered). It balances very nicely without the weight on my butt, but I assume the weight would be for players who prefer a more forward weighted cue. I bought another one second hand to...

What is the best ferrule material

I was given a Hayakawa Kielwood shaft and it is fantastic. I would not have bought it, the same way I would not pay for carbon. But having been given it, I haven't used anything except this for a couple of months now and am thoroughly impressed.

What is the best ferrule material

Yes, the imported melamine has a coarse appearance (grain, dots), but superior play. The domestic appearance is cleaner, but much weaker in terms of durability and play. I have limited experience with ivory, but the two or three shafts I have hit with (ILC and American made) did not feel as nice...

What is the best ferrule material

Melamine hits really nice I favour it over XTC, Ivory or Micarta (which are the materials I have been aware of trying - I know there are others) I have replaced all of my playing shaft ferrules with melamine imported from Germany (Chinese domestic is not good) Couldn't be happier. The feel...

    Yapp’s shaft from from universal

I watched him try a handful of shafts (and constantly taking a weight bolt in and out) over the course of a day here in China. It's a sticker/some kind of directional prompt I would assume.

Pro pool without a shot clock

Unmanned shot clocks can't be far off in the future... Every table at my local hall has a camera, so surely the camera can be linked to the scoreboard somehow? I mean, the camera is used to keep score on the snooker table without any human intervention, so surely it can be used for pool... Pool...

    Shooting Over/Across A Template

As you said, most peoples instinct is to remove it. I leave it on when practicing, and as a result, make no real effort to remove it in a game. A referee can do it, or an opponent if they feel so inclined. There are occasions where I will move it for a particular shot, but it annoys the hell out...

Is removing your glove a shark move?

Breathing is a shark move. Loss of rack.

Salotto is a joke… part deux

I have previously had some scores rejected on a few occasions. The APP is all glitchy here anyway, but even when providing evidence to back up.... denied (They refunded me for my complaints though, so kudos for that lol) I just stopped using it, and the friends who began to use it quit too...

    Turning Point

0.98 is really nice, I understand some peoples issues with it, but I lightly feather a corner over the cue, and it works fine. Cueball does need a clean every rack (Imagine you know that if you're breaking with it). Exceed chalk is pretty nice too. It's somewhere between 0.98 and a piece of...
