Chinese love a good drill. I know a guy who completes the most insane drills, but goes tits up whenever put in front of another player. The game is more mental than anything else. That's why the players with money in the bank, or those backed by sponsors, or the 'right people', float to the top...

Some of the cues they make are very far from 'cheap' - not handmade like the Thai original, but there are some very high value production cues made by Chinese O'min brand.

Depends which table, this exhibition match likely had easier pockets. It's for the spectators to say WOW. Chinese table tournament pockets are set to the same standardized side, which I believe is cut to template the same as WST tables.
