if you buy good tables, people will come. We had 30 players for the 9 ball weekly tournament last night. The rest of the pool hall was also full. I guess it was a good night for the owner. I finished 2nd so a good night for me too.
I don't know how it is in the US but where I live (in Quebec), it's the gambling lottery machine that keeps the pool hall alive and pays the bill. The pool is only because the owner likes pool. We get between 20 and 30 players 3x a week to play in tournaments but the money the lottery machine...
if we all put the same efforts towards improving our skills that we do shopping for the next best pool cue that will elevate our game, we would be so much better at pool
Let me tell you my experience with Joss Cues. I called the phone number. Talk to the guy who builds the cue. We have a nice conversation about the work he does. Nicest guys around. I ordered a cue. I was happy. Every experience should be like that.
that is true but now you can find a set in China made of phenolic that is just as good when it comes to material. The only differences is the QA is not as good as Aramith. So it's possible the variance between balls are bigger than Aramith.
