    Inexpensive solution for doing tips?

You could make a coupling out of the appropriate diameter tube that slips snug over the motor shaft. Drill and tap a hole for a set screw and tap the other end for a bolt/screw (self tapping would probably work in aluminum; maybe brass):) Regards, Greg

Cue recommendation for a penny pincher

Over the past few years, I have bought several sneaky petes from ebayer colea1a. They are well made and he ships fast. I have sold all of them to fellow players who have been happy with them. The last one (recently) was to a pal that wanted it for a break cue. That is always an option if you...

How expensive is your daily player

These (4 sub $200 customs, McDermott Peak, and a Schmelke) all have seen daily playing time, but the $77 M10 Schmelke (bottom) is my favorite. Regards, Greg

I have planed, scraped and sanded it making furniture without significant problems, but then again different application. I don't think I've ever seen a birdseye...

    curly maple shaft???

That might be true, but as far as I know, there has not (to date) been found a conclusive cause for the formation of birdseye. Some studies have found that birdseye does not significantly alter the physical properties of sugar maple. Related reading: http://cfs.nrcan.gc.ca/news/407...

    iwakuni japan question

Yeah, it was gone when I was last there in 93. I believe there was a two story building in it's place (Snack/Bar Circus ?). I played mostly at the SNCO club. We also had a table on the third deck of the barracks. Regards, Greg
