Last trip there, I had heard that some places would waive the parking fee if you had a Nevada ID. As I no longer have one of those, I can't confirm.

A perfectly timed strike that hits the back of the pocket sounds different than most of my shots. But if you hit it it that pure, it's a technique to try to make the next shot sound as good.

Equipment is a factor. I prefer 20 oz or so on my preferred big tables but if stuck on the 7ft bouncy box have better results with 17-18. YMMV.

Barely touching. Any more pressure than that and I tend to miss a fraction to the left.

Olympia area a desert. Nearest spot I know of is Scratch Billiards in Fife. Lots of Diamond 7's, one 9.
