    Vegas

Last trip there, I had heard that some places would waive the parking fee if you had a Nevada ID. As I no longer have one of those, I can't confirm.

Hard to Find the Center of the Cue Ball

From a snooker pro, food for thought.

Buddy Hall vs Steve Mizerak, who had the nicer stroke?

Jay Swanson. Stephen Lee and Shaun Murphy from snooker. Maybe there's a connection between eating lots of butter and stroke like butter..? 😜

    Bai Yulu 145 in Snooker

Not rooting against her, but nope. Her best win on the men's tour is against a player ranked 75th. We can revisit this in a couple years. :)

    Eight-pocket Filipino table?

Haven't seen one of these in thirty years, but it was fun.

SVB shouldn’t be allowed to turn hearing aids off?

A perfectly timed strike that hits the back of the pocket sounds different than most of my shots. But if you hit it it that pure, it's a technique to try to make the next shot sound as good.

    Action Jackson?

A little tougher without a public room. Nearest one I know of is here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/pockets-idaho-falls?osq=Pool+%26+Billiards 1 10' snooker and a bunch of Diamond 7's as of five years ago. No idea on action, happy hunting!

Moving to a heavy playing cue

Equipment is a factor. I prefer 20 oz or so on my preferred big tables but if stuck on the 7ft bouncy box have better results with 17-18. YMMV.

Pinky on or off during stroke.

Barely touching. Any more pressure than that and I tend to miss a fraction to the left.

Where's a place to play in the Olympia, Washington Area?

Olympia area a desert. Nearest spot I know of is Scratch Billiards in Fife. Lots of Diamond 7's, one 9.

I launched my nationwide pool hall finder today

Pierre, did you have a place in mind? :sneaky: One of my all time favorite rooms: https://www.facebook.com/peacockbilliards

Worst room you ever went in?

Sorry to hear this. I went several times ten years ago and would have been delighted to have it as my home room.

Alex v. Fedor Uno Pocket, is this old?

One of the best gambling games of all time! Nits can win but are swimming upstream. Wish more people played, I'd be a happy boy if every pool room had a board or three.

How many of you steal chalk from the pool hall?

Don't do this but some twisted dude indirectly did it for me.. bought a pawnshop cue/case and the long pocket was completely filled with slightly used Master's. 😏

Looking for info on the Ultraskin tips

Best value in a layered tip that I know of. Can't help with any soft tip info but the HH doesn't mushroom.

Have you ever lost your cue?

They got the car, cues were just an unexpected bonus. Stolen out of the parking lot at work.
