Schmelke Ricochet Carbon Fiber Shaft Feedback?

Indeed. David and I spoke a few weeks ago about one of their custom line cues with the Ricochet carbon fiber shaft. He was not able to accomodate my request for a QR joint pin, my guess is that the CF shafts they have in stock are ready for a different kind of joint pin, but he did accomodate my...

    Dennis Swift Custom 3x4 Case.

I believe you are correct. I absolutely love my case, it is 13 years old at this point and it is top notch quality. I try to take very good care of it. 👍 I switch around the Swift case with a 2x2 Instroke Premier if I believe the Swift might get damaged when going to play somewhere.

    Good Books to Learn From

@straightline I feel I owe you an apology. I realize now that I should have made my point in a separate post, instead of writing everything in a reply to your comment. The initial part of my reply was meant as a response to your post, but I made the mistake of also addressing everybody that has...

    Good Books to Learn From

Oh no, definitely not trying to become a champion. I am hardly in a position where I can dedicate enough time to pool, but whatever time I do dedicate to it, I am trying to make the best of it. I will be lucky if I can attend and play a complete 9 ball tour event that comes through my area, but...

    Good Books to Learn From

Ah, the good book. Looks like one of the copies they usually put at the VA for us to take home. I have not read it in a very long time. I became a "heathen" a long time ago. I have to say, that my Marine mind immediately came up with some dark humor to reply with, but I have managed to calm...

Schmelke Ricochet Carbon Fiber Shaft Feedback?

Thank you for the response. I too noticed that they are not available for purchase on their website. Not sure if they discontinued them and are selling what they have left to customers that call and ask for them. Eddie

Schmelke Ricochet Carbon Fiber Shaft Feedback?

Good evening folks. I would like to try a carbon fiber shaft. I have been playing with Z2, an OB2 and a Schmelke Kielwood shaft. Last week I spoke to David and he offered me a slightly customized cue with a Ricochet carbon fiber shaft, at a super bang for the buck deal, which is somewhat...

    Predator Sneaky Pete

Me too. I was attracted by the simplicity of the cue and the resemblance to the cues of yesteryear.

    Good Books to Learn From

I appreciate all the input. Needless to say, I now have an extensive list of books to read. I found 3 of Robert Byrne books on Thriftbooks for less than $25 and went ahead and ordered them. I am at the end of my spending "allowance" for this month, so I will search for more of the suggested...

    Good Books to Learn From

Howdy folks. In my quest to become a decent player again after many years of not playing or competing, I find myself struggling with shotmaking. I used one of the old tricks, recorded myself practicing, and lo and behold, I am struggling with shotmaking mechanics. Everything from pre-shot...

WTB Brunswick Willie Hoppe Professional Cue with Case.

Howdy. I am looking for a vintage Brunswick Willie Hoppe Professional cue, in decent shape, with its original case. I would consider a cue that is not perfect cosmetically, but functional and structurally sound. High condition would be a plus. I'd like to have one for my personal collection and...

    Predator Sneaky Pete

Afternoon. My last cue post for today. Predator Sneaky Pete model SP4RJL. I purchased this cue in late 2011 as my main tournament cue. I found it on clearance at Seybert's for $339 if I remember correctly. I liked that it was fairly plain but had performance upgrades like the uni-loc joint...
