    Reyes cup 2025.

I was able to catch portions of the last two matches this morning. I was surprised the stands weren't packed. How was attendance last year, I forget now. Of course this is day 1, but we are talking about the Philippines here, not Doha.

    Ordered The New Diamond Today!

I think you should put the Dimaond in the basement and the GC in the upstairs garage. That way you will have an apples to apples comparison. Half serious, half joking.

How often do you replace cue tips?

IDK if it's the new lipstick chalks being less abrasive, or I'm not playing as much as I used to years back, but I think I'm getting 2-3 years on a tip these days.

Has anyone tried the ThePro™ Pool Cue, Triad or Barringer ElkDud Tips?

yeah I know. There was a tip in the solid tip days branded as Water Buffalo. I think it was made by Tweeten, but can't remember for sure. It was blackish in color, and harder. Good for break cues before the phenolic tips took over. But also played fine on a playing cue if a player liked a firmer...

Shoot a Million Balls? Give me a break.

It's the players innate hand-eye coordination, control of the body, etc. A player like Corey Deuel picked up his first stick at age 14 and was pro speed at age 16. Genetics, not years and years and years at the table.

    Perimeter Lighting

I don't like them at all. The diffusers they use are not like the egg crate style that Diamond, Littman, Brunswick, and more traditional pool lights use. So when you look up, or even from the side, they hurt my eyes. Lots of players seem to like them though.

The Lepros, at least, were not good since at least AZB started in 2003 or so. You can go back to the old posts from then if you can find them, and in the cuemaker section everyone was complaining and asking "how to find the "good" ones in a box". Solutions were to bounce them, sand them and look...

    Pool Table Light

You'd be better off with a single 2'x4' LED panel from Home Depot for $50 in the middle of the ceiling than that. (and that's the minimum for a serious player today). Anyway, to each their own:)

DCP, why in the world are you looking for lamp style lights from 1950?

    Pool Table Light

That’s old stuff. Diamond now has litttman make their lights. They use qty 3: 2x2 panels, with about 10” of spacing between each panel, and a proper eggcrate style diffuser (which they’ve always used since the 90’s). Either that arrangement or qty 2: 2x4 panels end to end is great for today...

Has anyone tried the ThePro™ Pool Cue, Triad or Barringer ElkDud Tips?

I never heard of these. BUT, they are made in the USA, $1 each, and "claim" to not be the junk that is in a typical box of LePro's, that explode when installing. I'd give them a try. The real deal LePros and Triangle stink. If I ever got back into cue-repair (I did it several years ending 15...

Nice choice! I like that leg and corner style too, and the league cut pockets. Are the rail tops the solid wood or the harder epoxy/phenolic/whatever they call it now material?

    Pool Table Light

Littman light. They come in different sizes, get the one they make for a 9' table. Or, go the DIY route and get qty 2: 2x4 LED lights and mount them end-to end on the ceiling or on chains, depending on your ceiling height. With those LED panels, they can be quite a bit higher than the old lamp...

I just tuned in to WNTTV, the mic level is super low. Is that for everyone?
