    Funny pic/gif thread...

Well nobody stabs you for spilling beer on a violin though, so there's that.

Shane Wolford VS Anthony Meglino (Action) $216K

No, I don't even know him. The only reason I responded to you was because of the irony of your post. If it was tongue in cheek, then good on you.

Shane Wolford VS Anthony Meglino (Action) $216K

Both of you are being a bit petty, but seriously, the conversation was about a woman of the same fargo rate and you immediately said, "Yeah, but a man would smoke you if he's dressed like a woman". lol

Myth or real - Stroke smoothness as a requisite for certain shots

What is this crap about pool players either know or they don't? DUH!!! It sounds like excuses for people who either can't or don't understand how they do. lol. It's a forum, hopefully those that can and/or know how will discuss with each other and with those that can't so that those who can't...

Myth or real - Stroke smoothness as a requisite for certain shots

I'm sorry, I'm going to try to be nice, but no, you don't either know how to play or not. Sure you do either know how to play or not, but it's not finite. No one knows how to play before they learn. Like with anything, you have to learn how to do it. And like with anything, the best way to...

Send Mike Wong to the U.S. Open

If he had a twin brother and they both died in a zombie apocalypse but stayed dead, then you could say "two wongs don't make a wight".

Send Mike Wong to the U.S. Open

That reminded me of what I was doing in 2012. I was traveling the country a lot and was in Georgia for a span. Playing Johnny Archer Bonus Ball on Shawn Putnam's table at MBC. 45 minutes in between shots. Not because Johnny was slow, but no one would let him play. People were constantly coming...

Myth or real - Stroke smoothness as a requisite for certain shots

Well so long as the concepts are hit, then it doesn't matter. There's actually a stroke that looks REALLY punchy but can be superior to a smooth stroke. I'm not giving way it's secret though. Although if someone were to analyze a certain top players stroke and understand body mechanics, they...

Myth or real - Stroke smoothness as a requisite for certain shots

One thing I did, which suited two purposes, was to line up with my tip over the top center of the CB. This allowed me to start on 'true center' of the cue ball and ensured that I was lined up to still have my arm moving forward at contact to reduce the chances of decelerating.

Myth or real - Stroke smoothness as a requisite for certain shots

There's another reason that from time immemorial that the instruction has been to have cb contact at the bottom of the pendulum. If the arm is swinging forward, even from just gravity, there is less chance of deceleration. If you strike the ball after the bottom of the pendulum, you have to be...

Myth or real - Stroke smoothness as a requisite for certain shots

I've heard several things in here that I think people are confused by. It's not about accelerating THROUGH the cueball. It's accelerating to the point of contact. Do you know why letting the weight of the cue do the work works so well? It's because it's impossible to decelerate prior to contact...

tip technology - hardness at center different from hardness at edges

It's all good, it was quite a while ago at this point, so no big deal. I'll tell you the story at some point if you want to hear.

tip technology - hardness at center different from hardness at edges

We did, you talked about him being the only person who beat you on your table. Maybe I met him after you. I would've definitely told you about meeting him at Fatboy's. I thought I told you the story.

tip technology - hardness at center different from hardness at edges

Well the tip manufacturers have no intent to ever sell direct to the public. They sell hundreds or thousands of tips to each of their customers every month. There's literally, NO incentive to do anything like this. It would be impossible to sell the numbers that they do. That's the reality. The...

tip technology - hardness at center different from hardness at edges

I was just thinking about this a little bit more and it is doable. I could write a program that would use a website form for a user to enter in the tip information and then the program woud create a cnc g-code to cut out each tip from a layered leather sheet. They could choose a tip radius as...
