    Pernambuco It was labelled as pernambuco. I have only seen one in photos, could not verify it properly as the end grains are not exposed properly. It is on more on the orange side. The woodshop has day light lamps, have not seen it in natural light yet. D

    Pernambuco The outside color is on the orange side, the room lighting might give it an off color. Will post the photo later as i will drop by at the wood shop again. Aside from the color, is there any other distinguishing characteristic? Thanks for the help. D

    bannia yes it is. banya is used as an alternate material for pernambuco, and so is carbon fiber. thanks d

    just wanted some advice regarding spalted birds eye maple. could I use it in the forearm part or only the handle? any suggested wood prep for this? the reason being is my source have shown me some beautiful slabs and im just curious if this could be used. thanks.
