I did this for a friend once and it came out really good! I took a tea bag and made an extra strong cup if tea. Then used some gauze cloth, dipped it in the tea used it to stained the shaft. He was amazed at how good it came out. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk

I too grew up using LD shafts. I'm just not as consistent using regular maple shafts no mater who the maker is :-( Buy a partial LD shaft of your choice, get someone to do the matching ring work, and bag the LD Shaft label, and be happy ;-) Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

It would bother me. Paying top dollar for a straight grain maple shaft with that bad a sugar mark, that close to the ferrule?? Anyone that says it might not bother them.. Put it up for sale on here asking full price, with a picture showing the sugar mark,.. but rolls straight as an arrow!! And...

I was in a summer league once. Traveled 30 miles one way (I live North East PA,). Start at 7:00 pm, get out around midnight. Had a hard 2 x 4 case that I threw over my shoulders. It was very comfortable and secure. Unfortunately, .. It was hot and dry when I got there and humid as all heck on...
