    Back pain while playing

I have used a few creams for back pain and the one that worked best for me was the CBD cream from Joy Organics . I rub it on my lower back before I start playing and it takes the edge off the soreness. It does not fix the problem but it makes it more manageable. A back brace might help for...

Did going from a low-end cue to high-end improve your game?

Maybe a 2. The cue doesn't fix your stroke. A Schmelke with a good tip is fine. The high-end stuff feels nicer and might inspire confidence but it won't suddenly make you run racks. I'd say it's mostly placebo. If you're missing balls, it's not the cue.

    Cue scale recommendation

Get a digital postal scale with a flat surface. They're accurate and you can lay the cue flat. Look for one that measures in grams and ounces. Capacity of at least 5 pounds is enough. $20-30 on Amazon. No need to hold it upright.

    New Cloth Colors

Apple Green on the Diamond and Powder Blue on the GCIV sounds like a solid combo. Light colors definitely help with visibility, especially if lighting isn't great. Tournament blue is the standard for a reason but it's nice to mix it up. Just make sure the balls pop against the color. Shark Gray...

    Back pain while playing

A brace might help short term, but it won’t fix the reason your back is flaring from all the leaning. I got to the point where I needed a chiropractor for my low back, and Revival Chiropractic near Orlando was fine for getting me moving again, but the real fix was core work and changing how long...

    Refinish effect on cue value.

Unfortunately, cue value depends heavily on verifiability and originality. No logo makes it tough for future buyers to authenticate it without paperwork, and turned-down shafts almost always ding performance appeal. Even if you know it’s a Bella Sera, the market doesn’t go on trust, it goes on...

    rexus31.......HACKED!!!

Honestly, anyone posting Gold Crown Ball Polishers in bulk should’ve raised red flags and a cue stick.

    do you use talcum powder?

I used to think talc was totally harmless, just part of the pool kit. But there’s been a lot of noise lately about health risks tied to long-term use, especially with powders containing talcum. It’s not just hype either, there’s a talcum powder lawsuit that’s been growing for years now, with...

    Letter from Mr. Mosconi

I have this letter that should be on display. Read the message to induct Cowboy Jimmy Moore into the BCA Hall of fame. I have played pool in many places, I was a member of the BCA. Now at my age I must let go of many of my memories including playing Mr. Cowboy Jimmy Moore at Doc & Eddies and...

What’s the Most Frustrating Aspect of Being an Aging Pool Player?

At 72 it is very frustrating, some of the young people don't want to listen to us anyway. There should be a senior division.
