    The Art of Aiming

Can you estimate the Contact Point on the OB that sends it to the target? Then double the distance D from the center of the OB to the Contact Point and send the CB there.
  2. L

    Why does this work?

Yup. As the distance increases, the CB will squirt away from the OB.

    Good Knight.

    Why does this work?

With a solid hit on the CB to cut the OB, the OB will slide over the felt before it starts to roll toward the target - resulting in a slight over cut.

GOOD NEWS FOR THE "LURKERS" ABOUT CTE AIMING!

If the Powerpoint example was able to place the CB in the first, lower example a bit to the left and in contact with the OB per your arrow, the CB would move a bit to the left and up to contact the OB . The would increase the angle Thanks. The CBs are on the same center-to-center line.

Some Rational, Reasonable, Truthfully Logical, Cognitive Thought Regarding CTE

It takes imagination to see the GB aim point. Try putting the tip of the cue in it, then sight down the cue to the rail and imagine a point there to aim at if that's easier.
