WNT Florida Open: New Cloth Color?

Not to get into an extended volley on this, but we all see this differently and I would suggest -- at least from the comments and likes so far -- your view is in the minority. So great, you believe it has to do with Florida, though if we're going to go with that it looks more like Georgia...

WNT Florida Open: New Cloth Color?

I think people who care about the game care. The color in the photo suggests a home table situation where the wife said, "Sure, you can have a pool table... but the cloth has got to match the drapes." We're talkin' about it but for all the wrong reasons. Lou Figueroa Shirley you can't be serious

WNT Florida Open: New Cloth Color?

If true, it would tell me that pool is just something for her to fook with. Would love to see how that would go over at the Crucible -- I'm guessing they'd hang her from the rafters, lol. But when it comes to pool she can do as she pleases and pose for selfies. Lou Figueroa

    Justin Bergman vs Tom Cousins

It happens and I would never argue that some matches don't take... forever (check out any Varner match at the Seniors in TX, lol). However, I would argue that on the average matches are significantly shorter nowadays. My personal experience is that, sure, some games take 45 minutes, but a lot...

    Justin Bergman vs Tom Cousins

Just a general comment about the 1pocket comments: I feel many of you are describing old school 1pocket -- the same 1pocket I learned back in the late 90's. A lot of defense and what ya'll call bunting. However, the game has evolved thanks to players like Frost and Chohan and slew of others...

    Pia Filler hates wood shafts

Put some water in a cup, microwave it to boiling, dip a Q-tip in and apply to the ding. Viola. Lou Figueroa beware super heating the water because it can explode

I bought my first carbon fiber shaft (the Jacoby V5 with a dimed 12.1mm tip). I have questions. FIRST POST!!!

To be frank, I don't know what you mean by your curve shot. If you are literally curving the CB you are using bad technique and should seek some instruction. And if your tip is mushrooming too much just lop it off and have it replaced with something a little firmer. IOWs, it's not you. Lou...

Two fundamentals of pool to avoid sounding foolish for years

Yes. The goal, for most pool players, is to develop a consistent PSR that produces a stroke that: A. Puts the object ball where you want it to go, and B. Makes the CB go where you expect. Tons of top players, going back to Ralph Greenleaf, have had massively wonky strokes but they were...

    Pia Filler hates wood shafts

At one time or another I have dinged almost every shaft I own and I guarantee you would not be able to tell nor spot where I've removed a ding. Lou Figueroa

I don't know what technique you use but for a really bad, sharp edge ding I use a little light sandpapering to expose the wood cells, then hit it repeatedly with a Q-tip that's just been dipped in boiling water -- dant't take but a few minutes. All others come out in a minute. Lou Figueroa

Useful Instructional Phrases That Help You Play Pool Better

I only have one phrase that reoccurs: it often pops into me head when I'm playing a champion and am faced with a tough shot or the option to play safe and a voice pipes up in the back o’ me mind and asks: "Are we men... or are we mice?" Lou Figueroa and away we go : -)
