Looking into my first cue purchase

You can take a look at Viattorre www.viattorre.com. I think they make something in your range and they're a custom maker.

    Ivor-X ferrules

Very well said Mr. Hightower. Let us not forget about Southwest. When they lost their inlay guy, they still made cues. I also see the previous replies as Jack works on all the other parts of the cues except the inlays. Who knows, maybe he'll start doing inlays in the future.

    Ivor-X ferrules

Jack brought modern cuemaking techniques and machinery like what is used in the US. Like Jaz mentions Jack and the other guys do different tasks as part of the overall team effort. So yeah, Jack does actually work on the cues.

    Ivor-X ferrules

I have ivor-x on my Viattorre cue for almost a year now with no problems whatsoever. It also stays considerably cleaner than other ferrules.

    Best ferrule

I been using Ivor-X on my Viattorre for almost a year now as per Jackson's recommendation. I really like it and have zero problems or complaints. Really solid hit

    Ferrules

I've had Ivor-X ferrules on my Viattorre cue and like it a lot. I was suspicious at using this new ferrule at first but Jackson suggested I give them a try. It's been over 6 months and no regrets whatsoever.

    Your favorite custom cue maker

Viattorre. Not only do they make a great playing cue without breaking the bank, they are very easy to work with. An added bonus is Jackson isn't a self-centered egomaniac like many of the other cuemakers I dealt with.

What do you do when waiting for a custom cue?

I can say Jackson is a man of his word. He won't try to cheat you or lead you on. If he can't deliver on the time he gave you, he'll tell you right away and explain why. He's definitely not one of the many cuemakers I've corresponded with who believe they're God's gift to the world.

    1 more question about cues

For that kind of money I'd rather get a custom cue like Viattorre. At least you get a cue made to YOUR specifications with top notch customer service. I think they should be considered. Here's their address www.viattorre.com

How long have you kept your playing cue? What made you change?

I've had a Helmstetter for almost 20 years give or take and got myself a Viattorre last year and got another Viattorre on the way. Definitely upgraded my cues.

What do you do when waiting for a custom cue?

When I was waiting for my Viattorre I never really noticed the long wait. I only got anxious when Jackson told me my cue was on its way. I started the process all over again as soon as I got my first Viattorre. Talk about torture.
