Grady Season's Cue in "The Color of Money"

Is that a Runde? I know he did do rounded inlays at some point - but just looking at it my first assumption was that Clarke made it.

Grady Season's Cue in "The Color of Money"

I remember watching him shoot as a kid and being mesmorized. I could see he was a REAL player compared to Cruise (who put forth a great effort). When Grady drew his rock in some of those scenes it looked so cool to a young kid. Then gets down and aggressively racks the balls...you felt like you...

    I'm losing faith in UPS

I use FEDEX for everything. I never use UPS so can't comment, and the USPS has gone down the drain.

That looks to be an Evan Clarke era Schon...made well after TCOM. It's a beauty though.

Keith STOLE that scene. He had real screen presence and could have been an actor.

That is certainly a pretty Schon, but GS definitely used a McDermott (as well as Forrest Whittaker) in TCOM. There are several KEITH matches on youtube where he uses a plainer Ebony pointed Schon (and plays jam up, I might add).

“Legends of the Cue” Podcast Has Been Launched

I'm fortunate that I periodically get to spend some time and talk with Mark in St Louis. Really nice guy and great story teller. I knew his "Nashville" story - because we've discussed that before, and had something in common as I also worked for Bobby (much later than Mark) delivering/installing...

    Deleted..

Kind of a TAD style, but not TAD quality/execution. Everyone is coming up lately with these bootleg cues (see Philsopher's post from yesterday). I won't lie, I think they are really cool for what they are. I'd love to know who made this.

    Compete without fear

A great player, who was a strong gambler and A player once told me, "Matt, I don't care if I miss a shot. I just make sure that I'm never careless. I put 100% effort into each shot. I have a complete plan before I even get down on the cue ball. I know how the shot will be made, and where the cue...

You said a mouthful there. Education costs tuition...and I know I've paid mine.

Do you ever get down to Ft Walton? Is Starcade Billiards still around? I loved that place while stationed at Hurlburt Field in the late 90s.

CALLING ALL CUE DETECTIVES… ID NEEDED!!!

Older Josswest Design (I believe) on, what I concur is probably an import cue. It's just that I've never seen an import cue with that design. I'm curious to see what others think.
