My dad repainted everything. The frame and skirts. Chevy white. Skirts were orange originally. We tried staining them but they used different types of wood on one skirt so the stain colors changed drastically in on skirt. The Formica wood rails we wet sanded and buffed them with car polish.
80% done. Just need to add the under skirts. They look like they will be a real head ache. Going to play on it for a few to make sure I’m happy with everything. It turned out way better than I expected. This forum was a huge help on getting me through the process.
One long cleat. I’m going to put my long straight edge on it tonight. It goes down in the groove no problem. It wont lay back though. It seems so simple and I’m stumped.
On to the next fitting issue. So I started laying out the skirts. I’m sure if I had a second set of hands I could pulled the brackets together and draw them tight with the bolts. I can’t see how they are this far off. When I was painting the thin angle brackets I noticed two were bent . I’m...
So I’m trying to square up the rails on my gold crown. The manual says to use a carpenters square. I’m using a 2x3’ square. So I have the rails laid out and I’m putting a piece of one by under it to lift the square in the air. I have two sides pretty good I think. There’s one corner I can not...
Yah. I think they used what ever material they had available. Do you have any pics of another l bracket for the ball holder. I think that manual is for an older gold crown maybe a 70s model.
I’m confused on how the pictures depicts it. It looks like there’s two wood screws in the front and 4 on the top angled going up on my ball holder. Since I have the ball return I think it’s B . I must have filled the holes when I painted it.
since i acquired this table in pieces and all the hardware was in boxes I have no idea where these go. I thought they went to the side of the ball storage to mount to the wood skirts but it’s not. There also not for the ball return to the storage.
Anyone have any ideas?
I can’t find a gc1...
So about a year and a half ago I acquired my Gc1 from the situation of, if you want it come get it out of my basemnt . I had no idea what kind of table it was and was only told it was a 9ft table. My dad played on it years ago and said it was a nice table don’t pass it up. It had been dis...
