    Am I weird?

Thanks for the feedback. Some days when I go to play I start out with one cue (could be either cue) and nothing clicks and I switch cues and everything seems right. I play regular APA once a week and Masters APA once a month. I regularly get my butt handed to me in Masters league but I much...

    Am I weird?

For some context, I have had the Tad for 40 years and MOSTLY played 8-ball with it. I bought the McDermott a few years ago with the thought of entering the twenty-first century and I like it ok but it does not have the feel and feedback of the Tad. Still, I seem to play 9-ball better with the...

    Am I weird?

Does anyone else have one cue for 8-ball and another cue for 9-ball? I don’t know why but I feel better shooting with an old Tad with original shaft for 8-ball and a newer McDermott with a CF shaft for 9-ball. Is that weird. (I won both matches tonight with those respective cues.)

Found a little unexpected gem last night.

Beaufort, NC (Not to be confused with Beaufort, SC. Spelled the same but pronounced differently) is a really beautiful little village. You can’t get there by accident, especially now that the new bridge routes traffic away from the town. I know where the Royal James is but have never been in...

Is this an early Tim Scruggs cue?

How do you read that number? It says "5 61" but there is a pretty big space between the 5 and 6. Is it just "561" or is the 5 a model and the 61 a serial number?

The second shaft lost its tip but here's the business end. What you see is the red base that was under the leather tip.

Here is a close up of the pin. Just over 9/16 long (from the edge of the joint)

Is this an early Tim Scruggs cue?

If memory serves, I paid $200 for it with both shafts. I was a college student then so it couldn't have been much more than that.

Is this an early Tim Scruggs cue?

Wow it certainly does! Thank you very much. I'm not so much concerned about who made it I've just always wondered. The only puzzling thing to me is that there is not a "Tad" logo on my cue. I suppose it might have warn off over time. Did he always mark his cues?

Is this an early Tim Scruggs cue?

I bought this cue used in about 1983 in a pool room in Burlington, NC. The man who sold it to me said it was made by a guy named Tim Scruggs who previously worked for Joss and had started his own company a few years earlier. I don't think he had any reason to lie to me as Tim Scruggs was not a...
