    Carpet or no Carpet?

I had the same decision, I chose carpet and glad I did, the occasional ball off the table or dropping a stick is less of a big deal. I almost went ceramic tile but that could have been a disaster. I would go with something that is stain resistant for damned near ever. So far so good with my...

    Gc iii

bees wax was used, temperature remains fairly constant and relatively cool in the basement. I looked underneath the table and it doesnt seem possible to pull in a slate without a disassemble. But there is a definite lifting of one slate. Not a huge deal but if it gets worse it might be...

    Just wanted to share

I should post a thread in regard to its construction. I have limited skills in this matter but an overload of confidence, thinking to myself if someone else can do it certainly I can figure it out. I started out with a pre finished wood shelf that can bought at lowes. I bought some LED strip...

    Just wanted to share

Basement is essentially done, it's been a year since carpet went down and furniture moved in but like many home projects they get put on the back burner. Ive enjoyed the table and had great deal of fun thus far. I have one good friend whose skills match my own well enough to have some good...

Proximity of coal stove to pool table

I think in the long term it will destroy the table Depending on much time the dry heat has on it during the year and how humid it gets in the summer months. But anytime you expose wood to extreme dry heat for extended periods you're inviting disaster. although there is no guarantee I think...

    What's up with my table?

I was thinking the same thing, nothing worse than playing on some guys home table where every shot is sucked into a bucket regardless of how well it's hit. My table rejects a few shots now and then but I blame myself more than the table. It's not like a properly struck ball wont go in. I...

Why gambling in pool is stupid!

Not what I expected given the title of this thread. But the title is still true. Really good players don't call it gambling, I think they call it collecting

    K66 profile cushion recommendations

I had the same dilemma with a GC3 I bought with bad rubber. I looked around and went with The Diamond black rubber, I have no idea how it compares to the Brunswick but I just went out on a limb. I love them, plays great. But I defer to the experts I am sure the Super Speeds are just as well.

    My GC3 project...

Led strip purchased from Amazon, easily the lowest retail cost as compared to Lowes or any brick and mortar store. The height of the light was a result of having two young kids playing on the table. Although I knew they probably wouldn't break anything I just though it better to start them...

    My GC3 project...

probably not the place to post this but a continuation of a thread... just showing off now. Still not complete but being enjoyed... I have about 250 feet of crown to go and a couple windows to case in but here's the nearly completed room. I built my own light using LED strip and I...

    Simonis discoloration

I would think the dissolved solids in your mixture are just dried in the fibers. A good rinse would probably solve it, then say good bye to the kitty.
