I have an old 4.5" X 9' Brunswick Madison. I have had it recovered, new rails and pockets etc. I have it in my basement and I heat my house with a coal stove. The stove is a bit over 6' 6" from the table.
My regular furnace (elec. heat pump) fan runs constantly and I have a whole house...
First off...love the photo/card, saved it to my computer.
All I can relate is how I came to pool...and I'm not sure if I can do that well.
For some reason it fascinated me from my youth. Dad bought a cheap table off my Aunt Mary for...who knows what amount but I can recall Aunt Mary saying to...
Thanks for your reply.
I am in western Pennsylvania. From what I understand with coal stoves in general, once you start them up for the winter, you pretty much don't let them stop burning unless you let the fire go out by accident.
Got lots of replies on the coal forum and they basically agree...
First year for both the table and coal stove in my house. Both table and stove are in and fixed...no moving now.
My question is, what are your thoughts on 6'-5" distance from the coal stove to the table ?
From reading I guess the average temp of the body of the coal stove would be in the 500...
I prefer a manual transmission to an automatic. Like it when my motorcycle shifts with the right foot and I pull up to downshift and push down to up shift (sometimes called a "racing pattern"), have a water well and a septic system, have a hand fired coal stove....Automatic ball return...
Yeah and IMO, it looks pretty cheesy...Some cheap casters and Rube Goldberg design/construction (looks like it uses some old car antennas).? I'm not surprised that it is on sale at a discount...I would pass.......
You don't say but I am assuming that you already have an "I" beam running the length of the house and the supports are placed at intervals under that beam.
I had a similar situation in my place. My father was one of those guys who knew everyone so he asked some engineering savvy guy what we had...
I'm not much of a TV watcher but I would surely tune in to that one. I am also not up on current actors but were Philip Seymour Hoffman still with us I think he could do an excellent "Fats".
I would imagine that you have already read "The Champion and the Hustler" which would probably be the...
I am somewhat at the same place. Having my table (at my mother's house) moved to my place (basement) after I get the basement livable.
Anyway I think color choice(s) for your room greatly depends on the color of the table's cloth. I am going with "Wine" colored cloth and found this site to be...
Thanx Rikdee, & Ralph K. (BTW, love the old "Honeymooners" show...classic TV for sure). I am assuming that is where you take your screen name from Ralph K. ?
Anyway no one responded to my post for quite some time so I kept looking...Funny thing is that I found Pyramid and was impressed by...
I have a 9' Brunswick Madison at my mother's house and plan on disassembling it and moving it to my place.
I helped disassemble and move it about 30 years ago so I should be able to handle that part of it and partial reassembly.
I contacted a couple of places in the forum's mechanic's...
