I own a fair amount of custom cues still but play with a cheap Mezz. With the Mezz I can change the weight and there are a bunch of different shaft options. The extension is excellent and super light and I played for a while with it on all the time. I used to play with a South West, which...

I guess it really started with LD shafts. Many of the old time great cue makers resented anybody using any shaft that they didn't make. I think the aftermarket shafts chiseled away at the mythology of the custom cue hit. Then CF came along and it's a distinct departure from the white hard...

The ferrule that is long on a traditional wood shaft tends to apply English to object balls more. A lot of old time one pocket players haven't made the change to short ferrule LD types of shafts. There are some great younger one pocket players playing with CF.

If you are using a CF shaft and a glove I find it odd that certain players feel the need to constantly wipe down their shafts with a towel.

What the commentators need is bios on all the players.

What you are saying is a fact. Getting approval for a pool hall is super tough. To get hard liquor approval with a pool hall is another challenge. With inflation there is less money to spend on idle pursuits..........

Why would you hit any balls without a tip on the ferrule?

If you are gonna start a room in a town like LA and you want to buy the building, you have to have a lot of capital. The greatest impediment in buying an existing room, is the pool room owners. They will BS you.............. Most of them will not hand over tax returns.

You should notify your opponent if you are changing shafts.... If you break down your cue it's loss of game. With gloves and smooth CF shafts, I don't know why everybody is wiping down their cue every inning with white towels........
