Very sad what happened to Mika. He hung out in Santa Monica House of Billiards when he was in LA and had some good friends in that room. He gave lessons to many of the players and played a lot of One Pocket, cause that was the game in that room. He wasn't a really knowledgable One Pocket...

Folks usually with lots of hearing loss suffer from tinnitus. So even if his hearing aids are off his brain is manufacturing noise. The noise is hard to deal with..........

One pool hall I played in had the music so loud I would play with shooting muffs on............ It takes a little while to get used to not hearing certain sounds in the hit.........

The LD shafts that were made of wood had ' feedback ' problems according to purists. Many Old School One Pocket players avoided them. Brand to brand the CF shafts hit different. I play with a Mezz CF shaft and have no feedback issues......... Then there is the issue of ferrules, different...
