Consider an easier safety off the 10 two rails to freeze or nearly freeze on the 6. Preferably opponent cannot hit the 5. Says it doesn't pass anyway. The 10 blocks the 1 (if needed) and you force opponent to now be defensive. I believe at this point advantage is now slightly in your favor.
I've been playing for 54 years now and have played with a few cues over that time. My opinion: if you have any decent cue, the rest is all up to you i.e "pilot error".

Amen Taxi. At 69 I feel I play as good as I have ever played. But I have little desire to play those 2 day midnight back at 10AM tournaments. So I took up 3 cushion and I play str8 pool league. Ran 125 & 95 in last 6 months. So what is lacking from the old days is the willingness to be playing...
