Weight and Balance aside, Does the butt have anything to do with how well a cue plays

may I suggest that you dont buy anything yet, try a variety of shafts from friends to get a feel for what works for your cue. it could well be the case that you have a perfect match of butt and shaft in your hands that doesnt work (for you) in any other configuration, or you could have a gem...

    Stance threads got me wondering...Allison

only she knows but if i have to hazard a guess then a snooker table is taller than a pool table and it might just be a natural adjustment to do to keep her weight distributed comfortably across both feet.

Getting Rid of Pendulum Stroke. Digicue Loves it.

thats interesting danny. if you're faced with a slower table in a competitive game do you generally stick with your open stance or do you close up?

Getting Rid of Pendulum Stroke. Digicue Loves it.

I havent played 50+ years but i made the painful transition. consciously sticking to a new pre-shot routine and not letting instinct take over helps break the pattern i can still switch to my old stroke if i need be, i believe u will be able to as well but u dont have to. a short pull for soft...

    Revo more deflection????

Perhaps he meant swerve when playing inside english because that's a situation where the bolded text makes sense? Meaning that's predominantly how his ball behaves when he plays with sidespin due to his stroke mechanics? It's really tough to talk about deflection-related stuff when we all don't...

    chinese players and their cues

In general, Taiwanese version of soft tips aren’t that soft though; at least not the way the rest of the world understands it. They feel more like medium with the grip of a soft tip. They are nice, if you can get your hands on them

BHE - Not An Exact Science

actually compared to other threads of this nature, this one hasn't gone off the rails by page 2..

BHE - Not An Exact Science

yes you are correct, but theres no BHE police that i know of that will shame me for that... at least not yet hahaha if you must, just lay the cue on the table, reset your body and pick up the cue? i dont know, its accurate enough for me as i just need to get a feel for the offset needed. i'm...

BHE - Not An Exact Science

I don't think it's a problem if the cueing arm is not impeded. but you can always get up and set up your stance to shoot along that line if you want to do things the right way. Ultimately it's just a guide

BHE - Not An Exact Science

i can only really speak for my own application so it might differ from Dr Dave's or others' interpretation; for me, I don't use that as a ready-made adjustment for lower squirt cues (though I'm pretty sure that it will work for the way some people set up), it's more like a repeatable/replicable...

Also funny is the fact no one ever says that these guys will be even better if they switched to tech shafts lol At the end of the day hard work is a tech that will never be obsolete

BHE - Not An Exact Science

yeah like all ideas it's just a guide; a useful repeatable framework to build on for those who dont have any to begin with. of course, it doesnt cover everything, which is why theres FHE, which is a systematic and repeatable way to adjust for swerve etc. theres no system that can account for...
