Prototype (the s-special) Masterpiece em5c. Only one shaft has ever hit balls and it is less than 100 total. Still has the original McDermott tips. Made before the quick release. Stainless joint with all original joint protectors. One of a kind. Will not find another em5c like...
A/C and hopefully a steady humidity level. Summer temps can kill the rubber and warp wood. freezing temps can damage the rubber as well. I know my shed out back can get to 110-120 during this time of year. Also be mindful about silverfish and mice/rats.
Seen a few 6 ft. ers. Pool hall here used to have one 6 ft valley i think (they were newer tables) and 2 7 ft. for their coin ops. Have a friend who picked up a 10 ft brunswick in the 70's in Ohio when a pool hall was selling off their tables. They still had a number of them when they did that.
any powder or chalk in the cloth and under it will attract moisture. especially powder. That combination can really slow down the cloth and also effect the seating of the balls in the rack.
To me someone coming from out of town looking for "cheap action" is looking to test the waters and hopefully find one or more people they can bust. they start cheap in case they find they bit off more than the can...or want to chew. If they come out wanting to bet big, all the big dogs come...
good point. that and the cut angle will make those things jar down the rail. the end rail looks like it wasn't given the same length on the sub rail or someone forgot to shim it.
shane nutted up when he needed to. going down 18+ racks could've been the death of him. to bring it back to 6 showed earl he wasn't toast just yet and that stretch may have saved his ass. takes big ones to go for the out on some of those racks he did when down like he was. It's been classic...
the numbered balls should be exactly the same except for color. however, the spotted cue ball weighs 1/8 oz. more than the red circle for what ever reason. They say they are the exact same except for the spots but their is a weight difference (yes i weighed them .)
repetition, repetition, repetition. make sure you are repeating the same thing over and over. the exact same shot and speed. build muscle memory. If it is horribly uncomfortable or leaves you hurting, don't keep forcing it. something is wrong (stance, arm pos. etc.) I used a simple 30...
Last I checked Mali made a backed 19 oz cloth. They used to use it where I went to college. It took a long time to wear holes in it, but it always played like crap. It still wore out to the backing though. You'd get more cue ball action on a shag carpet.:banghead:
depends on the shaft but in general predators are lighter than normal shafts. The front five in. or so is hollowed out and the ferrul is smaller and lighter. On top of that the taper is longer than most cues reducing the overall mass.
I think i've heard that that room of johnny's uses 760. One of our local rooms does that which makes a hard transition from my table with 860hr to their 760. My cushions play faster and their beds play faster. Not for dead sure but I think ive heard they were using 760.
Just an idea...some companies use environmentally friendly water based dyes that will rub off like that. My buddy had a problem like that with his table and a local leather worker told him he could redye with a different oil based dye and fix the problem. Don't know if he tried it yet though...
It hits the 1. grazes it then grazes the 8. you can see it pretty well plus if you hit the eight and not the one, the one would float up table instead of heading to the side pocket area. you have to post that you are videoing your own home inside?!?! What kind of nazis run your...
