Not that my opinion matters much...but I say 8 is easier than 9. Simply put, you don't need the quality and variety of stroke to play 8 as you do 9. Most 8 is stop shots and creating angles. You can pattern a runout for little CB movement. Rarely is that the choice in 9. There is more luck in 8...
