Thanks for recommending J&J. I decided to keep it simple and bought an EC9 w/ Exceed Pro shaft. I've played with a Hybrid Pro II shaft for five years and I've got use to its crisp, firm hit with the LD. I hope the Exceed provides a similar hit and feel.

I'm looking for an ACE-2180, but the cue appears to be sold out on Mezz online and from its distributors. Maybe I haven't looked in the right places, but it seems Mezz is a difficult cue to buy in the US.

Taking into consideration that the cue doesn't have any loose parts and it is a solid two piece, all things being considered, a good hitting cue is a cue that delivers what you need. The sound and firm/softness are merely preferences.

If it isn't expensive to many people, then many people would own a Revo shaft.

If you had to sale your cherished cue to make ends meet, then why would you intentionally ruin the resale value of a custom cue and have less funds in case of another financial emergency? Also, it would suck if you have your name on a cue that has failed to meet your expectations. I doubt...
