Taom Chalk

I just recently started using predator chalk, and what a difference. Firstly, my hands were clean. I don’t chalk between few shots sometimes and never miscued once in a 2 hrs session. I used to miscue a lot with predator and i thought it was my stroke or the tip.
I meant I started using russian magic chalk. I had been using predator before that. Made a typo.

One of the best if not the best, and certainly the best chalk for the money, a couple of top player here switched from taom V10 to magic chalk, happy for you!!

The "classic" Taom Pool Chalk 2.0 is still my primary chalk. V10 is a bit dryer (doesn't stick as well) than the classic or Pyro. The Pyro leaves a bit more residue than the classic, but still a great chalk. Taom's Chalk 2.0 is a happy medium between V10 and Pyro. For anyone new to Taom's line of chalks, I would start with its original Chalk 2.0.

This post have a data that is not true. 2.0 is fine chalk but it and Pyro have same problem with many laminated tips that V10 does not. Those problems were heard on TAOM and that´s why they did go further and finally came out with V10.

The founder of TAOM talk about this on his interview too. (around 10:35 if timestamp on link not work)

Taom V10 is the best chalk I’ve ever used. Here are the results from a recent comprehensive chalk test video (linked below the results) that support what my experience was already telling me:

The only thing I dislike about Taom V10 is the round shape. I did find a great chalk holder that will hold it securely on your belt or pocket, and also comes with a square chalk adaper:

I clean my table once a week and I can tell you the pyro definitely makes the table dirtier then the v10 but I just like the pyro better 🤷‍♂️ it’s no where near as bad as kamui. I love using that stuff but hate the mess

It's not data that I posted from any experiment I did on the different Taom chalks. Just personal experience using my own equipment (Zan Medium). Does the V10 stay on a laminated/layered tip longer than Chalk 2.0, and how do both compare in the number of hits before miscue. Now I'm interested in doing these experiments. Either way, all three Taom chalks are some of the finest in pool.

I just use Masters chalk...but my friend uses Taom chalk.....I 3D print stuff so I adapted a rubberized chalk holder with a friction fit travel cover I make to keep his round chalk from rolling away.

what is the best magnetic chalk holder for taom chalk? I have an amazon special, and the chalk always falls off of it due to weak magnet.

V10 fans may want to take a look at the new branded chalk from Alex Pagulayan. It's supposedly made in the same facility as Taom, has the identical colour of V10, and is of a traditional cube shape.

I cannot say if it shares any other V10 attributes other than colour. However those who like to experiment and enjoy V10 may want to give it a go

Kamui chalk shark by far.

It has a super strong magnet and the holder is compact. Chalk does not fall out.

It's made for the hexagonal Roku but fits the circular Taom perfectly.

I watch the carom players quite a bit and it appears they almost all use Blue Diamond. I tend to think that because they use so much extreme english that this chalk is very user friendly. I think there's something to be said about the Blue Diamond.

well there we go - that solves the rolling problem too
