I just watched the recent Filler/Ruiz match and he's using the Predator Z3.

I just noticed in a very recent tournament that Filler was still using the Z3.

Filler was using a wood shaft last time I watched him. Does anyone know if he still is and, if so, which specific model it is? Thanks!

For me, the less force I put into a shot, the more control I have with the cue ball, including draws. Less force also allows me to be more likely to pocket the object ball. The cf shafts allow me to use less force, especially with draws. Twice now I've switched from wood to cf and there always...

I like both wood and cf as well. I may even switch back to wood due to being able to better see the aim of the shaft in my peripheral vision. My accuracy seems to be the same with both. I also like the feel of the hit better with wood, even though I'm only concerned with performance. However...

We have a Revo 11.8 and 12.4. We also have Predator's wood Z-3, 11.8, and Jacoby's wood Ultra, 11.8. Drawing is definitely easier with the Revo's (also with other cf's that I've tried) and I've hit many thousands of draw shots in the past year. It definitely feels like an energy transfer issue...

Maybe a petition by the past and current pros might sway them to change back, assuming the pros want it changed. I'd think they would!

It was either here on this forum or on youtube in which a few uni-loc users were talking about the joint occasionally loosening. One mentioned that he checks for the joint being tight as a part of his pre-shot routine due to it loosening so often. Someone else mentioned that getting it too tight...

I often wonder if the occasional loosening of my uni-loc joint is worth the hassle. I'm always having to make sure it's secure during a match or practice session. I never had a problem with a threaded joint. If a uni-loc joint somehow is supposed to perform better, then the hassle would be worth...

I've watched several guys on you-tube do deflection tests and the harder they hit the cue ball on off-center hits, the more the ball goes off-line.

I want the one that shoots the best or at least the best for my game. I would think one would have to play for many hours with both shafts to finally come to an accurate conclusion. Unfortunately, that could get expensive if having to buy more than one shaft, and who's to say a third or fourth...

I'm looking to improve my golf and pool game through practice, which includes attention to good fundamentals; however, I wouldn't want to play golf with a hickory shaft. I feel my golf game would be better with graphite or steel shafts vs. hickory, even though I have no evidence to prove that.
