    Ghost chalk

Thanks for, eventually, providing folks with an actionable solution. Hopefully they work well. Still a surprising misfire by Gorst, et al.

    Ghost chalk

That would be "scrambling." Are those sold next to Ghost chalk? Do people know how to buy them? Your post doesn't actually help anyone looking for that solution. Anyone could glue a metal slug or coin to the bottom and use a magnet. But people looking for an elegant or cleaner solution are...

    Ghost chalk

Fedor just released a a Q&A about his chalk on YouTube. A few key notes: 1) he says it is not Taom in any way, shape, or form. "Completely different." 2) No blue yet because "he" can't get that formulation to perform how he wants. Only green and grey, currently, but working on blue. 3) No...

    Ultimate Pool - Florida Open

7' or 9'? I'd take Bergman either way, but 7' would make it very close.

I need to shoot in a few more fargo reporting tournaments

I know a lot of strong players who are awful at evaluating other players' skill. Make a great shot, 700+. Miss a shot, 350. Anyone's best bet is to get a few hundred games in Fargo and let it tell you. It'll be better than just about anyone's eye test.

Gorst vs SVB, race to 40 for 20k

I think that's part of it. Collect the best players for legitimacy, have the matches on, say, YouTube (which is "free"), and build up a brand that then starts charging in one way or another via sponsorships and/or premium subscriptions, merch, memberships, tickets, etc, etc. If so, this stage is...

Gorst vs SVB, race to 40 for 20k

July 11-12 somewhere in SC in an exclusive venue (seems to be invite-only for a few dozen seats). Free stream.

Gorst vs SVB, race to 40 for 20k

I love Shane. But my money's on Fedor. (And then Josh, when the time comes.)

Gorst vs SVB, race to 40 for 20k

The money guys are "just giving back" to the players and community? I don't know either guy but my BS meter is twirling like it's in a tornado.

O.B. Spotter. The ultimate billiard practice machine!

I just looked at the website. It's now up to $380. I think it's a neat tool. But that price is way higher than I'd even consider paying, especially with sub-$100 non-electronic options available.

Justin Bergman is on a mission

Fargos: Bergman: 791 Styer: 791 Oscar: 791 (Atencio: 797) Not sure he's the salvation we are looking for, as big of a fan as I am of his and team USA.

This guy is "luckier" than Efren

I was expecting to see something that might be fake (I guess it still could be) but their reactions make it look pretty darn legit. I don't know what the probability is of getting a crazy lucky roll, but those tables look like Heyball tables, which makes a roll like any of those much less...

Are Junior players being set up for a tough life?

I think he's 16. His Fargo is 670ish and even if you correct for youthful rapid improvement he's not much higher than 700. He does play very well and is definitely fully dedicated. But of course not everyone with those attributes can be a successful pro.

World Top 200 Players by Fargo Rating (April2026)

Thanks, I should have noticed that. I don't think Biado is a 40-pt better player today at 40+ years old than a decade ago, nor Shane a 20-pt better player than when he took down three consecutive US Opens. The Kos, Shaw, etc, etc. I'll definitely take 2015 Dechaine over 2026 Dechaine. The...

World Top 200 Players by Fargo Rating (April2026)

Do you really believe the 5th best player from about 10 years ago would only be the 70th best player today? I'm a big believer that the level of play is higher now than ever, even 10 years ago. But even I can see there's more than just that one factor at play here.
