WNT Florida Open 2026, August 4-9, Orlando, Caribe Royale

Earl especially. He just runs out of steam. First 5-10 racks, as of a couple years ago, he would look like vintage Earl. Then the wheels would come off.

Januarta is no surprise. He'll be in many more QFs, SFs, and finals

Yeah, and if he only gets this far it's considered a disappointment.

If that were true, I'd have said I'd choose Billy over anyone. 😆

I'd still take Sky over three of them. But any three of those four is better than more Billy.

His family might hope you're right.

He's a relative unknown at the pro level. I'd take a 790+ 80yr old over the same few guys choking at the MC every year.

    WNT, WPA and 2026

Forgot to address this. I hope the two organizations can work together in the future. But for right now, they are largely competitors.

    WNT, WPA and 2026

In order.... 1) It's free to me. I don't pay for a subscription or for a ticket. 2) I care as a viewer 3) Multiple events are almost always more interesting, although I agree something like the US Open is great as a standalone. 4) The fact that Predator can put out similar-sized (and sometimes...

WNT Florida Open: New Cloth Color?

There is more competition in cloth recently. Andy, CPBA, Simonis, Brunswick, etc. Offering different colors might help companies differentiate themselves and get that business. As pool gets more popular worldwide, maybe some colors are more in demand. I don't know how big the home market is...

    WNT, WPA and 2026

Probably repeating a few points, but I'm 100% with Predator events over MR. Free to attend, free to watch the streams, correct ball colors, multiple events going on, big prize pools. Someone somewhere else put it perfectly: Predator asks, "what can I provide the customer?" while MR asks, "what...

    Don't forget submersibles!

WNT Florida Open 2026, August 4-9, Orlando, Caribe Royale

Especially coming from watching a Predator event, I have no idea what I'm even looking at any more during a WNT event. The 2 or the 7? The 4 or the 5? I'm lost at times and the table just becomes a meaningless jumble, like I've never watched pool before. Good thing Emily isn't in charge of...

What, in your opinion, is the minimum Fargo you should have before entering a WNT Open?

Fair enough. The other pros would love the easy 9-1 victories. (Although, to get pedantic, Emily can only announce the total prize fund based on expectations of participation levels, which does include dead money. If people weren't showing up, the announced prize fund would be smaller.)

What, in your opinion, is the minimum Fargo you should have before entering a WNT Open?

I'm sure the pros who have a spot would love the extra dead money.

What, in your opinion, is the minimum Fargo you should have before entering a WNT Open?

There were how many open spots in the Florida Open? Filling up doesn't seem to be an issue at these 256-player majors, US Open perhaps excepted. But if I somehow decided I wanted to play in one, and got a spot, and found out later some pro is sniffling in a corner somewhere feeling left...

What, in your opinion, is the minimum Fargo you should have before entering a WNT Open?

You asked "you." For me, I'd need to be 650+ maybe 700. And I would go in understanding that I'm paying for the experience.

    WPA Women’s 10-Ball World Championship

A few uncharacteristic misses by Seo went a long way in that match. Seo easily could have been up 2-1 after three sets. Chou is playing poorly vs Styer. Chezka is a small favorite over Chou, but a big favorite over Styer.

I've decided I'm rooting for Anthony Meglino. Don't know much about him. Watched him play once; shot great. I think he's got a full-time job. But American pool needs some new blood on the scene, so go Anthony! Get ye on the MC!

    Carbon Butts?

It changes the game. Like 8-foot rims in basketball. Or 80-yd fields in football.
