Tip radius and accidental scooping the cue ball on draw shots

I once knew a guy who loved shooting jump shots, and he was very good at it, but every jump shot he executed was a foul (hitting below the vertical center and 'scooping' the cue ball). He would never admit he was committing a foul and I refused to play him because of it.

    Advice on Buying First Table

If you just want to bang em around with the boys, I think that table would be perfect. Offer the guy $400.

    Advice on Buying First Table

That's an Avalon. Nice table. https://www.billiardsforum.com/pool-tables-for-sale/9-foot-brunswick-avalon-pool-table-for-sale-in-gaithersburg-md That's an Avalon. One of Brunswick's pricier tables back in the day. It looks like an 8 footer. Here's a web page I found with the exact table...

I don't believe I gave you permission to use my photo.

    How to combat slow players?

Yeah, as long as no one yells 'ten seconds!' midway through a player's stroke.

    How to combat slow players?

I don't particularly care for time clocks for a number of reasons, but in this case one would be useful.

    How to combat slow players?

If you're playing an extremely slow player, ask him if he's feeling alright or if there's anything he'd like to talk about. If he wonders why you're asking these questions, tell him that good pool players get into a rhythm but he's playing so slowly that it's impossible for him to get into any...

What are 100-year old cue sticks worth?

They may not be worth a lot of money but the number of toothpicks you could get from just one would be phenomenal.

Cue Tip Size And Shape Effects

All I know is, when I used a cue with a 1 inch diameter tip, I couldn't get any draw spin at all.

    Color or Money goof?

I remember seeing a scene in 'The Color Of Money' where there must have been a number of 'takes', and the ball Vincent was shooting changed position. I'd have to watch it again to tell you where it was. There are usually errors in most movies.

    Color or Money goof?

The ball Fast Eddie is shooting at is the 2 ball.

    Hand held jump bridge

Maybe I should get a robot to do my shooting for me. A lot less stress, and wear-and-tear, on my poor old body.

Info on an old Brunswick" 1x2 hardcase?

Here's a couple more pics. I think the buckle is older but I wouldn't bet my life on it.

Info on an old Brunswick" 1x2 hardcase?

The older Brunswick cases had a buckle instead of a snap closure. The Titlist cue was a one piece that came from a local Knights of Columbus. The conversion was done by my good friend, Garten Bierbower. I chose not to add the leather wrap. I liked it the way it was. It has a great hit. The shaft...
