I am about to throw in the towel...

Ty Thank you for all of the replies. Fran, my question, I guess, is how is an effective way to overcome my cross dominance issue? If I line up with my right eye, which keeps me on the proper side of the shot being right handed, I land with my cue angled on the shot line, no matter how hard I...

I am about to throw in the towel...

My eyes problems are seemingly too hard to overcome. I run a rack and then miss easy shots. I find something that works and it works for a couple hours, then its back to missing easy shots. I have tried everything.....ughhhh.. My left eye is just so dominant that trying to aim with my right...

Shooting Right Handed With a Dominant LEFT EYE

Old thread.. I have to say I agree with changing eyes while shooting. I am left eye dominant and right handed. I tried every way I could to find a comfortable stance with putting my left eye over the cue but could not do so. Now, what I do is line up the shot with my left eye, and while going...

sad Reread you definition..particularly number 8. And him being a teacher means what? If he is in fact a teacher, he knows that there is no such thing as objectivity when it comes to aiming.... Unless the exact same "edge" can be precisely found by everyone, at any time, it cannot be...

Cte No, that is why I said I do not discount it. Just making a comment that their is no such thing as objectivity in the aiming process as round spheres have no edges so its still guesswork and feel.

huh There are no edges on a sphere...we can "perceive" an edge, but its not an edge. It's only an edge in the sense that we see it as an edge.... I shoot rather well by the way...and yes...I use "perceived" edges to align my shots...

It is what it is....Doesn't matter if "Duckie" thinks the same way or not. Facts are facts. Spheres have no edges so there is no way to pinpoint and exact "edge" objectively or otherwise. IF there was such a think as true objectivity in billiards, everyone would be playing at the same level...

Objectivity There is no such thing as objectivity in aiming. We all perceive things differently. As for "edges" on a round sphere, there are none. We "perceive" an edge in our view from where we are standing, but no 2 humans could possibly pinpoint the exact same "edge". While I do not...

Let's hear some great team names!

Team names I named my team Aim It and Claim It....Now what we aim is dependent on where we are..;)

    Fastest Break Speed Ever Recorded?

Break Speed I was recorded at 29.7 mph by the phone app on a table with the speed contraption setup. I doubt it matters much though.

how are ya'll doing in league ?

Doing Ok My consistency is poor since I started back last year after 5-6 years of not picking up a cue. I am a 6 in APA 9 ball. I beat a 7 last week and an 8 this week. Maybe my eyes are starting to focus again after the layoff.. I Captain my team and we are Aim It and Claim It.

yet something else to contend with...OYE....

Not only am I cross eye dominant, a bit overweight, etc etc... Now I have pinpointed that I actually move my right foot off the line when I place my left foot to get into my stance. I never really noticed till today. Now I focus on planting my right foot down and cementing it into place. This...

    Cross Eye Dominance Stance Question

Feet for stance Im trying the right heal on the shot line and my left foot at about 45 degrees..maybe a bit less but with the heel of my left foot even with the toes on my right foot. It seems real comfortable and Im not having any strain on my neck to get my cue under my opposite...
