I use to work at a Machine shop and there was one material I felt would be good for a pool table backing. Which it's been 4years since I worked there and can't remember what it was called. If I remember correctly GM would use it for punching parts out and it was ungodly strong. But super...
Back when I played a lot of league I heard the usual "Rumors" of someone is banging someone. I wouldn't consider it groupie stuff but just more of "Someone wanted to bang someone". With the rumors adding some "Highschool" drama type stuff.
Of course an attractive female is going to grab a lot...
Best thing I found is to use the soap in the bathrooms. Clean the crap out of your hands. The soap in there is usually cheap junk and dries your hand out a lot. Just keep your hands out of your pockets and don't touch greasy objects(Basically stay away from bar food while playing). If you do...
Whenever my friends would do the stick line up where you take a stick and imagine you are going to hit the Object Ball. I'd do it but have the stick aiming at some goofball location in an odd angle and then hit it like I was anyways. Even on a straight in shot.
I do stare at the object ball...
We had some on our shop table on a Gold Crown 3. It played really well and I couldn't tell the difference between Simonis on a GCIV at a pool hall a few days later. And we've installed it on many tables lately and everyone seems to love it.
We have done a couple pool halls with it but...
I remember years ago they lost thier Liquor license. I'm wanting to say some kid got drunk and a DUI and blamed Brass Rails. Because I was 17 at the time and they changed the age to 21. But they knew my face enough to where they allowed me to play.
But a Party in the Parking lot? Sounds...
I grew up in basically 3 pool halls. 1 was Mr. Cues 2 in Atlanta. Another one was Atlanta Billiards in Duluth (Was on the other side of mall near Pool Room 2) and the final was Murphy's Brass Rails in Athens.
When I was in highschool and we had a day off from school I'd go to Mr. Cues 2 to...
Our shop just got some Schmelke(?) cues in. They are sweet looking. Especially the sneaky petes. That is probably going to be the next cue I get. I do think they are cheap to so that's nice. I haven't shot with one yet.
For those who have shot with it would you compare it to say a Players...
And when you go to "Country Rock" don't forget your "Breaking Stick". No not the one you play pool with but the one you fight drunken rednecks with after they catch you dancing with their 3rd Ex-wife.
I'll have to try to stop by. I'm suppose to go out to downtown Athens on Saturday night...
I've watched Cliff Joyner play and he is pretty amazing. I've also seen some other really strong black players here in Atlanta.
As for the controversy in this thread. I don't see any. There is a difference in skin color and you don't see as many black players at the top of the game as you do...
As long as the frame, slate and the rest of the table is in the room it is going in, I am happy. If you really want some time to see exactly how you want your table in your room or to try and move furniture around so you don't have to decide in a 5 minute period when the mechanic gets there...
