You can't even see the pocket from there! Needless to say, not a single object ball would go in the side. But the cueball did! And with some speed on it too!
I have had my table apart, and I can assure you that there is no sucking device near the pockets. So, it must be something they add to the cueballs during manufacture. Whatever it is, it's kept more secret than KFC's secret recipe.
