The trouble with my new table

I think it's just a matter of jealousy. The cueball keeps seeing all those other balls get to go down those holes and wants to see what is down there. My table has 41/8" side pockets, and I have actually scratched from the cueball hitting a little inside of the first diamond on the short rail and scratched in the side. I just sat there looking at it for a while thinking that that was impossible. So I set up a bunch of object balls and tried to shoot them in the side from there. You can't even see the pocket from there! Needless to say, not a single object ball would go in the side. But the cueball did! And with some speed on it too!

I have had my table apart, and I can assure you that there is no sucking device near the pockets. So, it must be something they add to the cueballs during manufacture. Whatever it is, it's kept more secret than KFC's secret recipe.

With all that scratching going on, you just may want to check for crabs

a good rule of thumb: if you don't know where the cue ball is going it will find a pocket.

Been there, done that.

Bet you didn't really want to know that, did you! Way back in my Navy days. Try getting a mattress off a submarine in port with nobody knowing why sometime! That was my biggest 'con' ever.

Happy to report that the exorcism went very well. Cost me a ton of money, but well worth it. I haven't scratched in two weeks, and all my pockets are now officially buckets.

And I'm playing up a storm.

Glad to hear you found the problem. I should have guessed that was the problem myself but down here the issue is usually voodoo curses with only the occasional demon in the table. I keep a few chickens and goats on hand for when I am playing badly.
