    Billiards on ESPN today !!!!!!!

What a great finish of the US 9 ball championship ESPN missed, just caught it on YouTube, I think a sport that has been around for hundreds of years would get a little more respect

When it comes to choosing a shaft, Is deflection the only factor?

I owned a McDermott before buying a Becue, I have nothing against McDermott but that cue does not play like my Becue full carbon fiber cue, it works for me so I see no reason to change to another cue.

    Cue shaft playability differences

My15mph max break speed does not allow me to play with a 19oz cue, my playing cue is about 22 1/4 oz heavily front weighted, I will never have that "cue ball seems to stop and then speed up type of draw" mine is the cue ball seems to just keep rolling type of draw, your speed of stroke is a God...

When it comes to choosing a shaft, Is deflection the only factor?

There is no such thing as a no deflection shaft because of the laws of physics, low deflection means there is some deflection and like every shaft ever made you will have to account for some deflection when the cueball is struck off center, I like that I have to account for less with my Becue...

    My first tip install

Leave that tip on for 2 months minimum, it takes a little while for a tip to "break in" and you may find that in that time the way the tip feels changes, I would never have tried a hard tip but after leaving a tip on I thought would be a medium but wss a hard tip for a couple months I came to...

I bought cheap balls on purpose

All we have are valley tables that take quarters in my town, 45 minute drive to play in an APA league, at least I get to compete, I have some nice phenolic sets as well, yeah the difference is astronomical, might try some tournaments this year, it's an hour drive for them as well, I'm going to...

I bought cheap balls on purpose

That's what I own, a valley table, and yes there are shots I can't play because of the basement supports, some might complain about that but I feel blessed to be able to practice about 80% of all shots, I remember when I didn't have a table, life is what you make of it, you can complain about...

Does playing Pool with Families or Friends mess up your real game??

I had missed a simple shot......funny how our perspectives change as we improve in a skill, do you remember when all shots were hard? I'll bet you took that last shot for granted and couldn't believe you missed it, man, I hate that feeling.....
