Just a suggestion: - If the decision is to indeed divide the $18K up to other players in the tourney, would it not make sense to disperse it evenly to all the players that are now going to be bumped to Advanced/Master, but had no real chance of actually winning the tournament? Top 48, minus...

You might want to find out exactly if all of the ladies will indeed be moved up to Advanced, because last year teams of players didn't get moved up if they competed in Singles and didn't break the threshold.

I don't believe that rule applies any longer. I think it went away with the creation of "Team Master" a few years ago, and then ultimately with the "Advanced" division. The requirement now is just that you have 3 original players that qualified together on the same team in League (8+ weeks)...

Just ran the numbers from 2012, and this player who dumped in 2011 cashed in 3 events this year for a grand total of $1,785. And guess what, he'll be in the OPEN Division again next year!

Easy answer is that they understand the Loop Hole of the BCAPL in raising people from one division to another. If a team fields 5 OPEN Players and they finish in the top 16 teams then they would all be moved up to Advanced the following year, UNLESS, individually they played in the OPEN Singles...

Great Points! I completely agree! (Steve Lillis can go next to Robin) I hope the 40 practice/mini tournament tables are available for practice before matches and not completely locked up with mini's.
