Block letter Joss 4 pointer, 18 pin joint. One of their earliest cues!

I had one of these years ago and sold it to Joe Salazar at the DCC when it was still at the Executive West. I’d sent it to Dan and he confirmed the 18 pin was limited and it was maybe around 1970, coulda been a year or two earlier or later. Very neat old cues..

Did going from a low-end cue to high-end improve your game?

100% folks will play better with a better cue. It’s like the mountain climber game on The Price Is Right, there’s a break over point but until you reach it your skill in relation to your equipment quality will go up. Cost would be the minimalist factor for ability improvement. I know APA 3s...

Think if Shane was still breaking and playing with the old Schon...

    Thank you all

Heres a quick story maybe Jay will remember. This would have been before the DCC left The Executive West...anyone remember the last year it was there? This might have been the year Bobby Pickle played Kirkwood that drinking game...and one of the years Cliff and Eric Durbin played for days...or...

WTB Sneaky Pete - Bluegrass, Prewitt, Howard, Frey

Not sure what I’ve got left but I believe I have an unknown sp still, big pin and plays great. I used it while waiting on my new cue from Rick to be finished. I can send pics and info if interested…it would be far less $$ than any you mentioned. Wish I still had the multiples of all those I’ve...

    DerbyCity going to Nashville...???

Thats 100% fact, its a ghost town the rest of the year compared to those 10 days. The actual casino being where it is now compared to where it was, probably boosts normal business and it for sure makes it easier for anyone there for pool to pay their tribute. If it has to stay there to survive...

    DerbyCity going to Nashville...???

Stopped in last night for the first time in a few years. Just in time to see the end of Thorpe and Gorst and the start of Alex and Skylar. It was 7/6 Alex when I left. The Derby itself will never be the same, as it was when it was at the EW for those who remember it. Or even when it first moved...

    Shipping Charges

The UPS store vs the actual UPS location is hugely different, the UPS novelty store here quoted me $75 to ship a cue last year and the UPS hq location did it for $35. Here’s another shipping gouge, I took a laptop into FedEx 2 months ago to send back to the manufacturer with a prepaid label and...

    Shipping Charges

USPS did on anything over 30 inches a long time ago, something like $15 off the top, not including the actual shipping charge and insurance fee if included. As of the last two weeks the UPS location here hasn’t done that tho. It by far seems to be the cheapest route still.
