It is large bore and it does all I needed. Building an entire cue, start to finish, would by much easier with the Deluxe. Considerably more expensive. I can send pictures if you would like. I have both lathes in the same shop, one set up the new one ready to be setup. I do work on one piece...

Looks like a 1993 year model! Not a R Series or a Runde. The 13 on the shaft collar indicated tip size - 13 mm.
