Thanks. I finally just did the hardware store trip and tried until I found one. Now the issue is that the threads only go 1-1/2" deep. I just ordered a 4" tap so I can add an ounce and still have enough threads for the butt cap to engage.

I've got a Cognoscenti with a similar pin.. G10, 7/16 x 11 modified

Anyone got an idea about what the size and pitch are for Cognoscenti weight bolts? I've tried to measure but with the bore for the butt cap being fairly deep, the threads for the weight bolt are too far down inside to use a thread gauge. I guess I could do trial and error at the hardware store...

I may just have to do that. In that I only need a handful, I was hesitating to find a local supplier for a brass bar. I'll also need to order a few new saws from you Chris , I'm down to my last one..!
