Probably did 30 break and escapes tonight. Awesome drill. Out of that maybe 10ish really good decisions and 2 dead balls with one make on the escape. Sold out once as far as playing my break, so that was solid.
Cool book, man…
Sound is a weird subjective thing. What it did for me was take out the “thunk” sound and let me hear the balls hit the pocket quietly and then the nice “click” as the balls fill the pockets. You might say, more like a GC. Sound can be tuned.
OK! I am only into the book to the second solution but I am diggin’ on the UX. I read the problem. Try and figure out the solution. Turn the page and see the T-Rex solution. Scan the QR see the T-Rex solution on video plus more than just the one option but how the run out might go. Dude can...
At my local room . Saturday @ 1pm. 11-9’ tables and 6-7’ all full. Some old dogs some younger humans, all enjoying poking balls with sticks. In my home town at least, it is not dead. Now to play some grandpa!
I like the idea of the wrap. Non-destructive and relatively easy to change back or go in a different direction. I am partial to the classic Brunswick white but the new black tables are good looking as well. Congrats on the new space!
OH! That's why it looked like the cloth was lifting due to the angle of the insert. Man that is very different. Is that the way the table was designed? Or was it an alteration due to issues with the slate? And I see why you can't do the cuff treatment.
I finished my new table pockets with a french cuff like this.
You can buy this from home depot Pipe hanger strap
and if you have some extra cloth you can glue the plastic strip to the edge of the cloth, staple it to the slate frame and then fold it over and glue or staple it on the underside...
