I found this lint roller at the store, It's about 10"wide and works great. Gets anything on the table including the chalk. When it gets less sticky I tear off the sheet and it's ready to go again... I brush the table now and then but use this everytime I play... Works great...Made by Evercare...

I used clear shellac when I did my table. Along with a magnifying glass strapped to my head and a fine brush. I did 2 coats to all the ivory site (old piano keys I had) and to all the white holly inlay on the table. Worked great and not any bleeding of the stain into the ivory or inlay. Good luck…

When I restored my old Brunswick I asked a lot of questions at the local wood shops. I was lucky and had a Woodcraft store 20 minutes away. They were great and I have found that most stores like that are that way. Good luck...:smile:

When I stained my rails I painted the ivory sites I put in with shellac... Stain wiped right off... Not sure about paint....

Well, I'm no expert like some of the people here but Bondo works well for me. That's what I've used on the few tables I've done for myself and never had a problem.
