Who is / was the greatest Junior (under 18) player who you ever seen?

I remember reading that Mike Sigel was a really great player too, as a teen.

Who is / was the greatest Junior (under 18) player who you ever seen?

Yeah, but I am just curious about American players. All the Euro and Asian players would be a really long, never ending list, lol. I know how strong Filler played, at like 13, lol.

Who is / was the greatest Junior (under 18) player who you ever seen?

Just out of curiosity, who is / was the greatest (most naturally talented, fearless, skilled) Junior player you ever seen? I know this has probably been discussed in the past. The guys from my era (who I knew of, and heard about, but some I never got to see) were guys like, Shane McMinn...

Do you think that playing 14.1 / Straight Pool can help a players game out at all? At least with Consistency?

I need a dictionary for a few of those words, but just too lazy to look them up. So, will just remain confused. Seriously though, do players really look at the cue ball last?

Oh, he looks at the cue ball last? That is really surprising. Interesting. I always heard that it is best to look at the object ball last.

Do you think that playing 14.1 / Straight Pool can help a players game out at all? At least with Consistency?

I heard a pretty cool story once, from this really cool old timer I knew, named Eddie. He said that he worked at a pool hall back in the 80's, in Chicago, iirc. He told me that Efren walked in one day, got a set of balls, and broke and ran 3 racks of 15 ball rotation. Thought that sounded really...

Do you think that playing 14.1 / Straight Pool can help a players game out at all? At least with Consistency?

Thanks. That makes sense. My mechanics are not consistent. That is for sure. When I played for hours every day, as a kid, I believe that my mechanics were surely very consistent though, but maybe not even then. I never knew, because I never had a pro instructor evaluate my mechanics, or...

Do you think that playing 14.1 / Straight Pool can help a players game out at all? At least with Consistency?

Wow, I want no part of anyone who can run a 100 in 14.1, let alone 50. Very impressive. All those break out shots, and good shape for a break out on the last ball. Not easy. I played for about an hour today. I ran a few racks, but non of them were one after another. The break outs really had me...

Do you think that playing 14.1 / Straight Pool can help a players game out at all? At least with Consistency?

I learned of a new game recently, but it looks very difficult. I think they call it K Ball. It is 15 Ball Rotation Pool, where every ball is 1 point, and you race to a certain amount of points. Playing defense is pointless, because if you miss, your opponent gets ball in hand. So, in a way, it...

Do you think that playing 14.1 / Straight Pool can help a players game out at all? At least with Consistency?

Well, I never played much of any other game, other then 9 ball. I never liked 8 ball. Straight pool seems easier in a way, but getting the break outs seems like the really difficult part. Missing a break out could mean that you are screwed, and not getting a really good leave for that 15th ball...

Do you think that playing 14.1 / Straight Pool can help a players game out at all? At least with Consistency? For example, if the player has not played in a long time, and wants to get back into playing, and hopefully get their old A game back? I always hated doing drills. Never had a Pre Shot...

Sofia Mast "retiring?" The state of American pool

Way off topic, but if anyone is ever in Houston, there are several large snooker clubs, with regulation size 12 foot snooker tables, in them. I really want to visit someday. Would love to get into snooker, if I ever get a snooker cue. There is a 10 foot Snooker table here in Austin TX, at a pool...

Buddy Hall made $85,000 in 1982

Oh yeah, I believe the top Asian pros are very well off, due to sponsorship deals. Because Pool is so huge in Asia. I mean like, China, Taiwan, and South Korea.

Buddy Hall made $85,000 in 1982

Hi, those top Pros that you referred to have big corporate sponsorship deals though, who I assume cover at least some of their expenses. Cuetec might possibly cover all of SVB travel expenses, right? I do not know though. I assume that Buddy Hall had some sort of a sponsorship deal back in 82...
