Hi, curious, what was the brand of CF shaft that felt dead to you? I hated the 1st few CF shafts I tried, that were from a few different custom cue makers, but when I tried the Whyte Carbon, I was floored (amazed) by the power, feel, and feedback that the shaft gave me.

Wow, that is really far out, lol. I love all of this new tech so much. Back in the 90's, the coolest new tech to come out was the Predator 314 shaft.

Yeah, that is a huge Con with CF shafts. They do get dinged up, and damaged, for various reasons. I will just call it Abuse, so best to buy new, and take very good care of the shaft, and be very careful with it.

I think that is what Meucci attempted to accomplish, when creating their Carbon Pro shaft. A much more Wood like feel to the hit. I have yet to try one out, by the way. Their CF shaft is Cored with Maple, by the looks of it.

I assume that you meant that it does not hit like a wooden shaft. The feel will be very different then wood, with any CF shaft, if you are talking about the way it feels when it glides through your bridge hand.

I think that he really should have added a pic, to show what these types of shafts look like. Here is an example though, but this example is made by a cue maker, in Japan. The Maple Base here was from a Mezz shaft.

Personally, for me, I just love the super smooth feel of a CF shaft. That is, if they make it super smooth, and do not put some type of coating or finish over the CF, that makes it to where I have to use a Glove.

Bergman may not even care about getting on the Mosconi Cup. I would love to see him get a Predator or Cuetec sponsorship though. Any that might pay his travel expenses, if he might need them paid. He is one of our best, so he should have a top sponsor, I think.

For long taper, I heard that the Becue Engage 12.3mm has like an 18" extended Pro Taper. The Jacoby shafts also have a very long extended Pro Taper. Cuetec Cynergy too. I really want to try out the Becue Engage 12.3mm though.

okay, lol, that makes me feel like such an idiot. That is something that I really should have known. I see that he has played for Mcdermott for awhile now. That is really cool. I do not really follow Pro pool. I have seen him play a few times though, and really love his game.
