In the Legends of the Cue podcast interview a few months ago, Keith stated he can't really play any more due to an eye condition- I think he has macular degeneration
I know Varner played in some of the recent Ultimate Pool events and performed decently. Still plays well on bar tables at least and I would imagine he still plays well in one pocket matches.
He does play well still, even with his tremor, but it is hard to believe that his Fargo is accurate. I would think his ability level is now more accurately assessed to be in the low 700s
in his Legends of the Cue interview, Billy Incardona said he can't play any more due to physical problems- I think he said his back bothers him too much
true- you should do what you love, but life is complicated- you can have multiple passions- hobbies, jobs, relationships. Difficult to get them all to align at the same time.
Dechaine is actually a year younger than Bergman- until I looked it up, I thought Dechaine was 2-3 years older.
I guess he has gone back to being a local player after saying he was going to enter more tournaments across the country a few years ago.
Both are still young enough to play top level...
I think this team would have the best chance: SVB, Sky, Bergman, Gorst and Oscar. Still probably distinct underdogs, but if things start rolling their way, they could pull it off with the right coach in place now.
For example- I think Landon Shuffett had the potential to be a world class player- he annihilated Earl on a 10 footer and looked nearly flawless at age 18, but he decided that wasn't the lifestyle he wanted.
