Predator Arcadia Cloth

Shit like that happens when you have NO idea as to what you're doing. Trying to copy what Diamond does on a daily basis is Predators FIRST mistake. Second MISTAKE is NOT knowing how to build a pool table. Third MISTAKE is to go to a table manufacturer and talk them into building a pool table in THEIR name, that has ABSOLUTELY NO distribution network for support in the whole UNITED STATES. Forth MISTAKE is to assume this country id FULL of experienced table mechanics just begging to work on a new JUNK pool table, because it has PREDATORS name on it. All the Kim Steel tables built by Sams billiards that I am AWARE of have all been junked out and replaced with BETTER tables like Brunswicks and Diamonds, what does that tell you?

Is there a noticable difference between the Arcadia Reserve and Select? As RKC stated, the Arcadia cloth needs to be re-stretched some time after install? Is this true or is it just necessary to install it different than Simonis cloth? No one wants to play on loose cloth. It's one thing if the cloth was poorly installed in the first place, but it's something completely different if the cloth itself loosens over time.

I have never has a cloth come "loose" that I properly indexed. I am not a gambling guy , but, my educated guess is this: it can be installed properly by an experienced professional. Knowing how meticulous PREDATOR IS, they are just rebranding one of the KNOWN TO WORK cloths and whammo! :) Just my lil ole opinion! Table looks pretty cool, I like the looks of it, way better looking than a DIAMOND! I hear it has some issues, we are going to start selling it soon. Buying one to test out at the local pool hall, see how it installs. Obviously using their cloth too! :)

I WILL REPORT BACK MORE SOONER THAN YOU THINK!!!

This is the future.

Since you are being so open with your thoughts: I think the lights make the legs look bad. Dont like that at all. I still like the over all look. Cant wait to play on one.

Still cant go wrong with a Cherry Diamond with the rounded corners, those are beautiful, the rounded corners make a huge difference. I saw the Predators in our state tournament, they look good but I like the Diamond pockets/pocket liners better.

I love Diamonds as well, I like that there are 4 major manufacturers. ITS GOOD FOR OUR INDUSTRY!

Played a few Pred's recently in a FL tourney. Pred cloth. To me it played like 860. Not bad, but know I'm only on the cloth-side of the table. As for the table itself: Personally, I would get and VALUE the opinion of any reputable table mechanic. They know the truth. (Before buying a Ferrari, best to speak with mechanics behind the building. Collectively, they MIGHT advise a Toyota!) I also played on a Chinese Rasson at last year's Mosconi. Played very well but not a fan of China-made pool anything. Personally, though I am still in love with my 9' Gold Crown. If I were to replace it, I'd probably go with Diamond. They seem to have things right and according to my 31 years-of-experience table mechanic, they do. But kudos to Brunswick for building such a product as Gold Crown. Hard to believe those tables were the pinnacle of the sport decades ago, and have endured to this very day still as the pinnacle, or very close to it. Never really heard much in a negative light except a few minor issues from my table guy, and I highly doubt I will ever sell because it plays so well. Probably just build out my studio another 20' and put a Diamond next to it. For variety. That's how much I love it. Sorry to tangent from cloth to tables. Sorry I kinda hijacked the thread. Just table passionate.
